Daniel Galvin has achieved worldwide recognition as a pioneer of hair colouring techniques. He trained in the 1960's with several of London's new generation of innovative hairdressers whose combined talents were responsible for bringing British hairdressing to world attention. In the latter part of 2006, Daniel Galvin was awarded an OBE for his contribution to Colour and the Hairdressing industry. He is known as the world's leading hair colourist and works with many celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Keira Knightly.
"Women often only start to think seriously about getting their hair coloured when they're engaged to be married. It's part of wanting to look your absolute best for your wedding. Ideally we like to start work on the perfect colour about nine months before the big day. This gives the colourist time to build a relationship based on trust and understanding with the bride-to-be. It also presents the opportunity for the colourist to not only work on the condition of hair - but also work with the stylist who is going to do the bride's hair on the day. Our hairdressers work very much as a team, together they ensure the chosen bridal headdress is perfectly complemented by the bride's cut, colour and styling on the day," says Daniel.
“The first thing you notice about good hair colour on anyone is the colour of their eyes! When hair colour is bad - it's the hair colour that you notice first. Colour should always enhance eye colour and lift skin tone. Condition is of utmost importance, we have recently introduced a new in-salon permanent hair repair technique that restores natural shine. We also have Louise Galvin Sacred Locks and DGJ Hair Clinic products you can use at home to preserve chemical colour and nourish hair for optimum gloss and shine for that all important day. It is also possible to book one of our stylists to come to your home or wedding venue to style your hair on the day. This can really enhance your wedding experience and allow you to relax about your hairstyle and headdress," Daniel advises. The wedding stylist service starts from £600 for a half day and includes a trial before the big day and a 'dress rehearsal' should you require it.
Within the Daniel Galvin salon there are other beauty specialists providing treatments that will add to the bridal experience, including nail specialists who offer a full range of treatments to prepare hands and feet for the wedding day - and honeymoon too. Dr Steven Victor specializes in non-surgical rejuvenation including chemical peels, vitamin injections and botox. Carole Warburton is a waxing and threading specialist and newly introduced Eye-Tec, a couture lash extension service that extends both top and bottom lashes for up to three weeks to enhance natural eye shape and colour.
David Galvin’s impressive list of references proves he knows what he is talking about! So listen to this hair guru, and get cracking on your look! Whether you’re in the market for a new colour, or just searching for the right style, there’s not better time to start looking than right now!
